First handprint

We received a "My first handprint" kit as a gift a few days ago and decided to make an Addy handprint the other night. Easy, right? Wrong!! After grabbing the plaster like quick sand the first two times (and then having her hand washed for re-dos), Addy finally flattened her hand out the third time (and just in time too!). Before we were done, we had plaster all over. The above picture (top) is a re-enactment, since we were too busy trying to keep Addy from becoming completely encased in a cast during the actual handprinting to take pictures. (However, you'll see that her hand still managed to get plaster on it during the re-enactment as well!). Though it was a mess, it was a lot of fun and when we look back, we'll always wonder if her hand ever really was that small.

We bought and planted (well, Adam planted while Addy and I watched) a tree for Addy today. It's a Birch Bark Cherry tree and we look forward to watching it grow with Addy over the years.

Adam's sister, Claire, is visiting Addy this weekend. I have a feeling that we're going to have to check Claire's suitcase when she leaves to make sure that Addy isn't being smuggled to Illinois! =)

We went to the Microsoft campus yesterday to enjoy the pretty Spring blooms. We happened to meet one of Adam's co-workers while we were bloom-peeping (is that a word?) who took this family picture.

After being awake all day yesterday and a lot of last night too, Addy is getting some much needed rest today.

Bath time

We had a girls day in today. Of course, it had to start with a bath. Then after that we moved onto manicures (filing those little sharp baby nails), and then onto a moisturizing treatment (Johnson and Johnson Baby Lotion does wonders for the skin!). I couldn't resist taking this cute pic after Addy's bath.
