Addy (so far) has been a pretty clean eater... but last night she decided to have some fun. And what fun it was!

One thousand cranes (revised)

There is an ancient Japanese legend which states that one thousand origami cranes bring good luck. Adam (who is an origami master) started folding cranes for Addy the night that I went into labor. Throughout the first month of Addy's life he continued folding, with some help from many of Addy's visitors along the way (Claire did a lot while she was here too!).

These amazing 1,000 cranes are now hanging in Addy's room. We hope that they do indeed bring luck to Addy - and of course, help her to know that she's incredibly loved!

It's hard to believe that Addy is already half a year old! She celebrated her half-birthday with a special Jello dessert. (Well - ok, Dad and Mom celebrated with the Jello dessert, while Addy got a small taste of the whipped cream). Here's hoping that time slows down as it goes on. We can dream, can't we? =)

Addy and the cats

Addy wants so very badly to be friends with Credit (bottom) and Debit (top). If there is a cat in the room, that's where Addy's attention is. The cats, however, are having no part of her. They rarely allow her close and she's often left to watch them run away from her outstretched hand (which is what happened right after both of these pictures were taken). Someday, we're sure that they will be great friends... but for Addy, it's not soon enough!

Addy has so many cute clothes... (aren't all little kid clothes cute?) and she's quickly outgrowing them. I've started trying to take pictures of her as she wears her outfits because she may not wear some of them again.

Of course, if I do say so myself, even when she has outgrown these clothes, she'll still be cute! ;)
