It's hot!

It's been super hot recently - especially for here. Most houses in Seattle don't have air-conditioning because we only get one or two short hot spells a year and we're in that bunch that don't have it. So, we make do through those couple times each summer. The temperature in our house at night when we go to bed has been about 85* the past couple days. But as you can see, Addy has already learned how to make herself the coolest - no body part touching another!

Lil' Cupcake

Addy and I went to a Farmers' Market today. Though we didn't find any produce (I thought that Farmers' Markets were supposed to be cheaper than grocery stores, not more!), we did find the cupcake booth (yes, I know that this isn't hard to believe), so we walked across the street to the park and enjoyed some more sun and our sweet treats.

"Help!! I think that the water is coming to get me!"

"Whew! False alarm! Now, I can just sit here and ponder the big things in life"

Park 2 of 2

I'm not so sure about this tractor...

...the slide is much more fun!

Ooohh!! Bubbles are fun too!

Park 1 of 2

Today was a day of parks. At the first one, I, again, forgot my camera but was able to use my phone again. I guess it's better than nothing! =)

Lots of my pictures look like this now that Addy can walk and run! She was chasing the birds and had nothing to do with Mom during that time! =)

Playing in the sand!

Zoo trip

Addy and I went to the zoo last week. I forgot my camera, so the pictures below are from my phone. Not the best pics, but we had fun anyway!!
Hi there!

If you look closely in the background, you'll see a monkey - just chillin'!

I'm going through now!

Barrett

Addy left the barrett alone long enough for me to snap this picture but that's about it! =)

Splish splash!

The weather is finally getting warm enough for outdoor swimming! I think that Addy's face shows just how exciting that is!

The cutest little fruit stand cashier ever

Patiently waiting for Dad's birthday dinner! (I think that she was really just waiting for the cake...)

Beach fun

It's finally getting warmer here!! Addy and I celebrated by going to a playdate at the beach. Addy didn't want to leave - I guess we have a water lover on our hands!!

Squishy sand

"Can I go swim with them please?"

Walking on the beach

Addy and Mom (though you can't tell by Addy's hair, it was a little windy!)

Another duck (that let us get surprisingly close after this picture was taken)

A day at the beach isn't complete without a bucket and shovel

Our strong little one

Those litter boxes are heavy, but Addy handled this one with no problem though! =)

Father's Day Fun

Father's Day - Addy and I started the day out by writing a message to Dad on the road outside our house, (well, Addy supervised actually) and then running for donuts and juice to suprise a (supposed to be) sleeping Daddy! Then the three of us went downtown to walk through Pike's Place (and get even more donuts - yum!) and then on to the Museum of Flight where we learned all about space and got to walk through an old Air Force One and a Concorde. We returned home with a sleepy Addy who had been busy watching everyone and everything around her all day (instead of napping a little) and decided to wait with the presents and cards until this morning - so we finished out a whole 24 hours of celebration the way that we started - with breakfast. Happy Father's Day Adam - we love you!

Making sure that Mom spells everything correctly!

Donuts for Dad!

"I can carry the juice Mom!"

"Happy Father's Day Dad - have some juice!"

"Is it better right side up?"

"Now the whole world knows!"

Donuts - yum!

Yummy!!

Helping Daddy land the Space Shuttle!

Hi!

"I can fly!"

"Ooohhh, I can fly an even bigger plane!"

On the Concorde - "It goes so fast, it makes your hair stand on end!"

Still Daddy's Laptop - at the end of a fun, but long day!

"Happy Father's Day Dad, I made it myself!"

Peek-a-boo!
