Girls' night out

Adam plays games with several other Microsofties on Tuesday nights after work, so Addy and I have made that a Girls Night Out at McDonalds for the two of us. Nope - not the most nutritionus... but did you know that they now serve apple slices (instead of fries)? We eat and then Addy has a blast playing in the Funland. Here are some pics from last night.

For those of you who know Silly Sally, she went to town, dancing backwards, upside down... which also explains why Addy has her book upside down. She figured out one way to make the character 'right side up'! =)

Fire station fun

Addy went on a fire station tour last week - and thoroughly enjoyed herself. The first picture is of her in the driver's seat of one of the engines (not that you can really tell that from the picture). She was ready to drive to the next call - we may have a future firefighter on our hands!

Grandma Colette was in town last week - painting a mural for Newbie. While she was here, we thought that we would put the new studio to use and take some Grandma and Addy pictures. See below! The last picture is one of the two ladies showing off Grandma's hard work!

Addy on the farm

Addy and I went to see the animals at a local farm the other day. She 'mooed' when she saw the cows and ran right up to their fence. Of course when they got close, she got a little shy. But I think that she had fun overall! =)

The Olympics

Addy was mesmerized by the closing ceremonies of the Olympics tonight. She decided to dress for the occasion as well - in the official Olympic clothing brought back for her - direct from China from Grandma Colette and Grandpa Dick.

That's right - she's gotta earn her keep somehow. =) Just Because will soon be opening its children's photography studio (stay tuned for a way cooler site in the next few weeks!), and Addy will be featured there (along with a few other kids too) as a model in some sample photos. The studio is now set up and fully functional and will be hosting its first clients in the next few days. Here are some shots that I took... you know, just to make sure that everything was working before people actually showed up wanting pictures taken! =)

Kraft (giggle)

For Claire:

Last time we saw Claire, she had recently started working at Kraft and she often spoke of the company as if she were a spokesperson. Adam teased her and said that there should be a *ding* (as if on a commercial) each time after she said the company name. So, in preparation for our visit to WI last week, Adam worked with Addy to try to get her to make the *ding* noise everytime that someone said Kraft . You can see that the *ding* didn't quite work, but the giggle is still pretty cute!

Where does the time go?

The flowers in our garden are in full bloom right now and they are just beautiful. Addy and I went out this morning to look at them and were visited by a bee. Though the camera didn't catch it, you'll notice Addy reacting to our visitor.
