McCain quickly entered about 6:15 and spoke for about half an hour. His speech was less of a stump speech than the two that we had seen previously. He sprinkled quite a few jokes in along the way. Though his was probably the most entertaining of the three, Addy was tired and tried to sleep through most of his speech. Then she found the camera bag and kept herself occupied with that.
As McCain left, he walked the rope line - doing grip and grin. He signed autographs and took pictures with people. Because he was looking at the other side of the aisle as he walked by Addy, one of his handlers pointed her out to him. He stepped back a step, interacted with her a little, shook my hand and congratulated me on her birth. Adam was quickly snapping pictures and Addy was a little un-interested in all of the fuss. However, we'll now always be able to tell her about her brush with fame at her early age!
