Happy Valentine's Day

"How could you do this to me, Mom?"

"Ah, that's much better!"

Another Kids' Museum!

Peek-a-boo!

Rock on!

Happy Addy

Sweet dreams

Bed head

Fun too!

So, it wasn't all boring speeches for Addy last week - we went to the Children's Museum too! Addy will have a ton of fun there as she gets older we're sure, but she had a pretty grand time this time too!

Driving the buggy on an African Safari!

Driving the subway car in Japan!

Looking down the long tunnel

In the middle of the long tunnel

And coming out of the whale!

Primping at Alice's table

The perspective didn't really work on this shot (she was supposed to appear very large in relation to her surroundings), but it's a cute picture anyway!

Our little star!

A cool storytime chair!

Political Addy: Kissing babies

The rally for McCain was late Friday afternoon. We spent some time at the Children's Museum after Obama's rally and then headed towards the hotel where McCain would be speaking. We arrived about 5:00 for a 6:15 event and were amazed at the lack of people around. We found a spot right on the rope line and parked for a little over an hour. The room did eventually fill, but in liberal Seattle, McCain is not quite the draw that Clinton and Obama are.

McCain quickly entered about 6:15 and spoke for about half an hour. His speech was less of a stump speech than the two that we had seen previously. He sprinkled quite a few jokes in along the way. Though his was probably the most entertaining of the three, Addy was tired and tried to sleep through most of his speech. Then she found the camera bag and kept herself occupied with that.

As McCain left, he walked the rope line - doing grip and grin. He signed autographs and took pictures with people. Because he was looking at the other side of the aisle as he walked by Addy, one of his handlers pointed her out to him. He stepped back a step, interacted with her a little, shook my hand and congratulated me on her birth. Adam was quickly snapping pictures and Addy was a little un-interested in all of the fuss. However, we'll now always be able to tell her about her brush with fame at her early age!

"Hello Senator McCain!"

Addy doesn't seem too impressed.

One last shot!
